After eight years, four print issues and numerous online interviews, Bassline Magazine has now ended its run.

Since 2003, Bassline Magazine, an independent Ohio-based mag, has been dedicated to highlighting not only international and national electronic and hip-hop DJs, producers and MCs, but also local and regional talent throughout the Midwest and East Coast. We showed love to independent clothing labels, art/graffiti culture, studio gear, events and record labels.

Over the years, we were fortunate to have the opportunity to interview artists including Guru, Afrika Bambaataa, Atmosphere, Zion I, People Under The Stairs, DJ Hype, Goldie, Evol Intent, EZ Rollers, Mathematics, Random Movement, Tortured Soul, Paul Johnson, Terrence Parker and many others.

Thank you to each of you for your encouraging comments and support along the way. For those of you who handed out any Bassline print issue or promotional flier, or attended one of our Bassline events, I thank you again.

To our volunteer staff both near and far, I could not have done this without you. Mad props go to Paul Berezansky, Stephen Boughton, Chanelle Buess, Brian A. Bucher, Mary Kathryn Burnside, Christal Crownoble, Dolla Box, Jocelyn Dickey, E Dubbz, Bryan Friedman, Ill-esha, Wang Howe, David Kenedy, Rebecca Korfhagen, Scott McCusker, Eric Pinzur, Mario Romay, Marea Stamper, Lisa Shiva Smith, Aaron Smith, Timothy Smith, Cody Strohl, and others who I may have missed and contributed in some way to Bassline.

A special thank you to Advertising and Promotions coordinator Lindsey Whited for sharing the musical journey.

For those of you in the Cleveland area, we hope you'll support the next quality Bassline event.

Enjoy our archives.
