In its 12th year, Scribble Jam, the largest hip-hop music festival in the U.S., is taking place in October rather than in August as in previous years.

The move was due in part to August's sweltering heat.

The event celebrates independent and underground hip-hop music culture with a graffiti expo and DJ, MC, breakdancing and beatbox battles plus vendor tents.

Atmosphere and the legendary KRS-One will headline the event on Friday with a number of other performers.

The event will take place on Friday, Oct. 24 and Saturday, Oct. 25 at Annie's Nightclub in Cincinnati, Ohio.

A meet and greet session will take place on Thursday, Oct. 23 with Mr. Dibbs hosting the live music event. Check ScribbleMagazine.com for venue updates. The traditional Sunday barbeque, a free event, will take place at Southgate House.
