Alexander East

Alexander East, currently residing in Chicago, has been making his mark from coast to coast. You may know him by his assortment of house sounds from funky, techy and deep and the layering of his own vocals throughout his tracks. East's influences are clearly obvious in his work stemming from past involvements in new wave, funk and rock. His generous musical abilities and willingness to work with others has lead him to work with such artists as Derrick Carter, Angel Alanis, Jake Chiles, JT Donaldson and others.
East has been sharing his music for almost 10 years on numerous labels including Seasons, Free Range, Aroma and Afterhours. Some of East's best releases have been on his own label Planet East which has recently been launched online. Planet East Music features most of his work for purchase including tracks like "Jest 4 Me" (12- inch original and remix from Derrick L. Carter), "I Gravitate 2 U" and "Hazey Shade of Love." You can also purchase his newest full-length album "Tone," including 23 of his own productions.
East has plenty going on in the next few months with plans on touring Europe and the release of "En the Mourning" on Swank Recordings and "Love U better" on Freerange. Look forward to Planet East continuing to infect the music industry with the soul, funk and groove that is notably East.
