If you thought the Cincinnati, Ohio, electronic music scene was dead, think again.

RaceCarProductions.com has put Cincinnati back on the map thanks to the passion and determination of Matthew Cooper [The Librarian], Ian Roland, and Evan Scott.

The project came when Ian Roland and The Librarian realized that they both played records that would not be considered the status quo.

“We were pretty much the punk rockers of the electronic music scene,” said Ian Roland. “We essentially wanted to highlight the local artists that we thought were pushing their respective genres forward as well as bring in DJs and artists that we loved and admired while maintaining a strictly underground approach,” explains Cooper.

The crew, just in the past year, has grown to 14 members including Evan Scott, Moss Moss, Ian Roland, Dolf, The Librarian, Eric Cloutier, Beta Project, Versed, Troll, Phenylethylamine, The Lady Foursquare, Bernstein, K-Frey, Tread, Dan McLeod and Ish.

They’ve brought in artists such as Outputmessage, Ryan Elliott, A Touch of Class and Derek Plaslaiko. Proving themselves as a mainstay in the Cincinnati dance music scene with underground and quality names, they also rely on a roster of talented DJs and artists who can be heard at various venues including Clique Lounge in Covington, KY.

This supports one of their own, Ish, who is a proprietor of the venue.
When asked what plans they have for Cincinnati in the coming months Evan Scott answers, “Bringing quality events to the Tri-State area. It’s as simple as that.”
