Lineup announced for Movement '09

Afrika Bambaataa headlines Detroit music fest

Paxahau, the Detroit-based production company, has announced the initial lineup for Movement 2009.

The festival celebrates its 10th year with headlining acts Afrika Bambaataa, Bassnectar, Carl Cox, Derrick May, Francois K and others.

Movement: Detroit's Electronic Music Festival will take place at Hart Plaza, downtown Detroit, Michigan, on May 23-25, 2009.

Additionally, The Prodigy will make their first U.S. appearance in 8 years at the official Movement opening party, Friday, May 22 at the Fillmore in Detroit.

The annual Memorial Day Weekend three-day event attracts thousands to the techno city both nationally and internationally.

Pre-sale tickets are on sale for $35 through March 24.
